An Evening of Natalie Cole
An Evening of Natalie Cole
Friday, April 25, 2008
8 p.m.
Allen Theatre at Playhouse Square
1501 Euclid Ave.
Cleveland, OH

The multi-Grammy award winning Natalie Cole delights listeners with her distinctive vocal style. Cole has forged a successful career in two phases, singing rhythm and blues/urban contemporary and then jazz-based pop. She has deliberately chosen to keep alive a musical tradition that began with jazz legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington and, her own father, jazz and pop legend Nat King Cole. Making her stage debut at age 11, the critically acclaimed vocalist performs today a mixed bag of classic pop, rhythm & blues, rock and jazz. The release of Unforgettable: With Love, the groundbreaking duet between Natalie and her late father, quickly put Natalie on the map as a jazz vocalist. She has received eight Grammies and continues to be recognized for ever expanding body of work.
